SON Newsletter

Hey guys just want to make sure everyone has read the New SON Newsletter that Kelly sent out over break! You will now be getting a weekly newsletter with all the happenings instead of emails everyday! Together we have been trying to figure out how to decrease the amount of emails she sends out and that we sift through! This is a great way for us to be proactive in reading the newsletter and see whats going on with the SON and get way fewer emails!! YES!

Please remember that Kelly is the email sender and she gets bombarded with requests to send us emails. So she doesn't do it to punish us :)

Send upsna@up.edu some feedback on what you think about the Newsletter!!

Thanks!

I just read the newsletter for the first time a moment ago. Thank you for sending that out. It looks like it could be a really useful way to communicate.

Is there by any chance a way to cut down on the number of clicks away from the original email it takes to get to the actual newsletter? I think that may be the obstacle that kept me from reading it before (well, that and the fact that I'm only just now starting to see the relevance of UPSNA). Just a thought...

Oh, I forgot the last part of my comment:

Could the newsletter itself just be sent as the body of the email? Is there a push to minimize the size of emails that are sent out like that or is there any other obstacle to doing something like that? Just curious.

Hey Jason. By having the newsletter on the SON website they can archive it and then it teaches students to go looking for their information rather than waiting for it to come to them. All of the newsletter links will stay active on the SON so people can look at them on their own time.

Hopefully that helps. Glad you are seeing that UPSNA is useful! We hope to see you at our event this weekend!!! 12-4 in Franz Hall! The schedule is posted here!

Thanks- UPSNA
